Who: Anyone interested in joining the professional development committee and volunteering with our initiatives during 2016-2017. New faces welcome!
What: Planning meeting for the professional development committee. FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED!
When: Saturday, August 13, 12-2 pm

We'll also have a remote dial-in option.
We will brainstorm professional development topics, speakers, and locations and discuss a tentative schedule for the upcoming fiscal year. Help us make these programs relevant for you and your career! This is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and management skills while networking with our sponsors, speaker experts, and other SWE members. Examples of how you can contribute:
1) Coordinate with the speaker(s) for a meeting
2) Coordinate with the sponsor for a meeting
3) Assist with day-of responsibilities (e.g., registration, set-up/clean-up)
4) Recommend a speaker, sponsor, or partner organization
5) Suggest a topic
6) Suggest a new format for a special professional development meeting
